Ukraine's ongoing campaign against Crimea proves that modern defensive lines mean very little if the logistical gut behind them is systematically hollowed out. As the strikes continue day after day, the cost for Russia to hold, feed, and fuel its prized occupied peninsula rises toward an unsustainable breaking point.
